Richarlison has teamed up again with Marco Silva, the manager who initially brought him to England with Watford 12 months ago after seeing the attacker establish himself as one of Brazil’s brightest young talents with powerhouse Rio de Janeiro club Fluminese.

Richarlison swiftly acclimatised to Premier League football, scoring on his full debut for the Hornets in a 2-0 victory at Bournemouth and winning rave reviews for a sequence of assertive and vibrant performances.

The versatile 21-year-old struck five times in his first 11 top-flight starts and contributed three assists during the same period, propelling Watford to within three points of the Champions League spots.

A direct attacker, he let fly with 95 shots in the Premier League last term, fewer only than the trio of Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and Christian Eriksen. Comfortable in any position across the frontline, Richarlison scored twice with his left foot, twice with his right and once with his head, as well as making five assists.

Richarlison has been capped 10 times by his country’s Under-20 team and scored on his international debut against England at St George’s Park in September 2016.

He was one of the stars of the following year’s Under-20 South American championship, finding the net twice in the tournament in Ecuador to further swell his burgeoning reputation.

Richarlison launched his professional career with America Mineiro as an 18-year-old in 2015 and hit the ground running.

The forward scored 10 minutes after coming off the bench on his first appearance for the Belo Horizonte side and, operating primarily as a central striker, hit another eight goals to help his team win promotion into Brazil’s top-flight.

He was signed by four-times national champions Fluminese in December 2015 and on his league debut away to former team America Mineiro created the only goal of the game for former Brazil striker Fred.

Richarlison’s speed, skill and physicality ensured he quickly became one of Fluminese’s most influential figures and led manager Abel Braga to describe him as “a complete player”.

Richarlison was raised in the Brazilian municipality of Nova Venecia and left his homeland after scoring 19 goals in 67 matches for Fluminese.

After a fantastic 2018-19 campaign, Richarlison was awarded 'Young Player of the Season' at the end of season awards.

Richarlison won the Copa América in July 2019 with Brazil.

On Wednesday 10th July 2019 he received the Commendation of Sporting Merit Jose de Anchieta Fontana.

On 29th November 2019, Marcel Brands revealed a new deal to extend Richarlison's contract by a further year, which was officially comfirmed on 3rd December 2019.

Richarlison won the Club's 2019/20 Player of the Season award, which was presented to him by Brazil teammate and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar.

At the end of the 2020-21 season, Richarlison was awrded with sponsors Davanti 'Goal Of The Season' for his Anfield Merseyside Derby winner in February 2021.

In the summer of 2021, Richarlison won a gold medal with Brazil, and was the top goal scorer, at the Toyo Olympics.

On 30th June 2022, Richarlison left Everton, and signed for Tottenham Hotspur, with the clubs announcing the deal the following morning on 1st July.
