  • Birthplace: Ouakam

  • Nationality: Senegal

At Everton between 2016 - 2020

Baye Oumar Niasse was born to a big family in Dakar on April 18, 1990.

His first professional team was the local FC Uakam famous for raising Papa Diakate.

A pro at 18, Baye made his name known two years later when in 2011 he helped his club claim the Senegalese Champions title: with more than 20 goals to his name he was called the second-best player in the league.

No surprise he soon moved to Europe: in 2013 FC Brann from Norway borrowed him from his parent club.

Although Niasse's first European trip was unimpressive, and he returned to Uakam where it took him no time to prove his high level once again.

He scored 13 times in just half a season and earned a second try in Europe.

Before Season 2013/14 FC Saint Etienne from France demonstrated interest towards Baye but at the end of the day he found himself in Turkish club Akhisar Belediyespor.

He quickly became the coach's regular pick and scored and assisted during his very first appearance, later producing 15 goals and 7 assists in total that season.

In May 2014 Baye debuted at his national team and scored twice against Kosovo.

Baye was Player Of The Month for Locomotiv Moscow on 4 consecutive occasions during the 2015-16 season, gaining the award for September, October, November, and December.

He was awarded Russian Premier League Player Of The year for 2015.

On 31st January 2016, Baye Oumar Niasse signed a 4 1/2 year deal with Everton Football Club for a fee thought to be in excess of £13m.

Things didn't go well for Oumar under new manager Ronald Koeman, and he was to spend the first half of the 2016-17 season playing with the Everton U23 team.

On 13th January 2017, it was announced that Oumar had signed on loan for Hull City until the end of the season.

After failing to gain regular game time under new manager Marco Silva, it was announced on 18th January 2018 that Oumar had joined Cardiff City on loan for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

On 25th June 2020, Everton announced that Oumar would leave the club at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Then on 26th March 2021, Oumar joined Huddersfield Town as a free agent, initially until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Good luck from all at Love Everton Forum.
