A towering 6ft 6" goalkeeper, Hilton joined the Academy from Manchester City in 2016 signing a 2 year academy scholarship.
Having impressed for both the Under-18s and Under-23 sides, Hilton's progress was rewarded as he signed a new one-year deal with the Blues in July 2018.
Joe won the National Premier League Goalkeeper of the Tournament Award in 2014.
On 12th January 2019 Joe joined Marine FC on loan until the end of the season.
On 7th June 2019, Everton announced that he had been released and no new contract offered.
