Time has come to blend in the yoof. Davies , Holgate and maybe Browning if fit. Maybe Henen or Rodriguez a run -out? Wasn't Rodriguez released? I know Browning isn't fully fit yet, but the obvious is Holgate who looked boss in the games he played. Koeman is just as bad as Martinez where certain players are concerned, and he won't drop them. Baines came straight back in, and so did Stekelenburg. Coleman came straight back in, and he keeps playing Jagielka. Is he the only person who can't see which players are letting him down? We've nothing in midfield in terms of goals. Only 6 players have scored goals this season, and one of them is a defender. It's not good enough. Coleman and Barry have scored the same amount of goals as Barkley Mirallas Bolasie Deulofeu and Cleverley. Rodriguez is technically still at Everton, but hasn't got a squad number, much like Niasse (who has disappeared even from the U23 set up I notice). Rumour is that Henen is leaving in January as well. Browning definitely not fit enough yet, but Davies and Holgate are the best of the bunch that deserve some game time, and maybe even Walsh. On Saturday's showing, contrasting with the U23s (yes, I know, the U23s), then Davies is ahead of McCarthy at the moment, but only because McCarthy isn't fully match fit. When both are at their best, it would be a tight call. I'd stick Davies back on the bench in the assumption that Barry and Gana will be reunited for Sunday's game. Don't forget Jags was dropped for the West Ham game, he dropped Barkley too, so RK can make the tough calls; I would have Baines in my team every day compared to Oviedo, but I'd agree Baines is not going to get back to his best, but unless Galloway improves, and can go there, I think we're weak at LB. Still don't agree about what some say about Coleman who I still rate, but don't disagree that Holgate or Kenny could do a job there of required.

What do you think the real reason behind Niasse getting excluded is? I've read a few people hinting they think Martinez took a bung to sign him lol, but I'd be careful spouting that one around. Our players don't seem to have enough quality to compete at the top. If you look at the league table, it's a good reflection of who we are. The teams we think are better are above us and the teams we think are worse are below us.

The lad clearly has some ability, after all, he did ok in Russia, and You Tube clips are never a completely reliable judge of form, but he does ok in those at least! And, if true, he won their League Player of the Year. So it may well be that he was bought in good faith, but he's just completely out of his depth in the PL and he knows it. To then be sent to the U23s who will (being young) be an unforgiving bunch, will have smashed what little confidence he may have had left. He's played 8 times for Senegal let's not forget, and scored 3 times as well. Perhaps Gana knows him better than anyone as he's a team mate at International Level. My bet is that he was seen as a prospect, but he looks anything but - we should try and loan him out, just in case, but likelihood is he'll be sold. Kone doesn't appear to be on the radar either, and Calvert-Lewin would be my bet for a striker place on the bench alongside Valencia. I would have said Dowell, but he appears to have gone off the boil a bit of late (but he'll be back)

To then sign a player who looks worse than Kone is mind boggling and to then not play him, is worse when you consider our last 6 results. I have my doubts about Koeman already and we've only played a dozen games.
