Joking aside, now to the actual article ........ You make a good point about the same 'square inch of the pitch' in regards to the goal, Bolasie, and Lukaku. Bolasie smacked it home, which will do his confidence no harm, but where is his best position? Once again, it showed that our players are at their most dangerous when counter attacking. I too queried why Valencia was sat down, and it made it worse, by Koeman bringing him on in the final minute, which came across as desperate. Those who are brown nosing Koeman so far, and let's face it, that's quite a lot of our fanbase, might want to ask themselves why, as over the 9 games, he's not really shown a lot. I much prefer to judge him game by game, and I thought against Burnley, Koeman was poor. Oviedo was very quiet for me, and this is another reason why I don't like the idea of playing attacking Fullbacks, if we're not going to let them attack, as they're not the best defenders, and I made the point in another thread HERE that Coleman might be better used as a Winger, like Moyes used him to good effect. Jagielka was poor yet again, and my patience is growing thin with him. As you state, his distribution was really bad, and that is one of the reasons Man City bought John Stones, as he played the ball out well. If he continues to make the kind of mistakes he's currently making (remember City?) then our confidence at the back will be shot, so maybe it's time to see how Mori gets on, and maybe at the same time choose another captain. I don't like Everton playing 2 Wingers, at least that's how I see it, even if Koeman calls them Strikers, and would much rather we dominated the middle. What do you make of our current formation Ross? I think the formation is OK, so long as the wingers (Kev and Yala) don't bomb too far forward and leave too big a gap to the full backs, and provided Ross if he's no10 doesn't isolate himself from Rom or the DMs. There might be a shout for just 1 DM, against the right opposition, and then someone else to work alongside Ross. Trouble is, I'm not sure who that could be unless it's Tom Davies, if he's the one closest to the DM, or Dowell, if he's the one closest to the striker. I don't see enough goals in our team, and not enough players who can just react, without needing to 'think' about it, or take a second touch. Koeman has to find a way to score goals, and not just against the Sunderlands of the world. Everton have lost their goal-getters over the last few years, and all the service in the world to just one man, and a man that is fairly static, isn't going to achieve goals. A Strike Partnership is needed badly.

Burnley did to us what we did to city a week earlier. End of I don't get that one. We drew with City, we lost to Burnley. Unless you mean a back to the wall job.

There's no point trying to find another keeper in Jan, so we'll just have to stick it out with the one we've got. On his day he looks good, but then there are the times he looks no better than Joel or Howard. I don't think Everton are that good a side. Koeman seems stuck in his ways and I didn't like his comments about deserving more. We weren't good enough, end of story.
