So this is what it feels like to enjoy football? It's been so long since I did that this is an unusual feeling.Even during that opening 30 minutes that were not going well, I thought that Koeman can and will change it. I was still surprised that he did it in the 1st half though, and instead of the obvious sub taking Gerard Deulofeu off, he did the right thing for me, and took the hopeless James McCarthy off and pushed Geri out wide, making us much more of a threat. The Kevin Mirallas equaliser was pure sexual, with beautiful movement and one touch football leaving the Belgian in space and he calmly slotted home. Mirallas looks a different player already under Koeman; gone are the dark days under that Spanish fella (Can't think of his name) and he is back to the player we first bought. Yannick Bolasie was direct and quick, and but for 2 terrible shots from his team mates, should have had 2 assists to his name already. Mason Holgate again was superb at the back, and continued to show we won't be missing that other Barnsley centre half. While it's not a finished team, we are certainly showing quick progress under the new manager who is showing he isn't willing to take any nonsense, and crucially can admit, when he is wrong and remedy it. Until next time. Agree with you about the tactical change after 37 mins being a sign of a new era, but don't agree that McCarthy was hopeless, or the reason he made the change. He needed to change to a more obvious back line, and McCarthy's versatility that got him on the pitch in the first place was probably his downfall. A lot seem to have it in for him, but he's still an important asset to the team/squad If we count Tom Davies we've a lot of midfielders who do what James does. I don't think he was one thing or another on Saturday but somebody had to leave to make way for subs. However, although I certainly don't have it in for him, I don't think he offers much as a footballer going forward. The fact he is playing on the right side shows that we need a Right Back and the fact that Gerry is playing up front shows we need a striker.

I'm glad you enjoyed the football. I enjoyed the win more than the football strictly speaking. Our team needs a better player than Barkley in the middle. Macca is holding us back too in my opinion. It's time to find out who really makes our team tick and get rid of those that simply take part every week.

I have a logic that sees things from different angles. While I see folk praising Ronald Koeman for making the changes, to our system, which in turn turned the game back in our favour, and led to a much needed win, I also have to point out that the same manager started the game with a system that didn't work, yet was not criticised. It's good to change something, and save a game, but it is also good to get that system right in the first place, and win the game from the front foot. I'm happy for the win, but it's clear that we need more options in attack, because if we don't buy another striker, what if Romelu Lukaku gets an injury? I think it's harsh to criticise RK for "getting it wrong" in the first place. For a start, he began with the side and system that had worked reasonably well the week before; he couldn't expect Lukaku to be 100% fit, nor Bolasie, nor Williams. Let's focus on the positive - he showed his Plan A and swiftly his Plan B and we won. Well done him.

WBA and Spurs are two very different teams, so I'd expect 2 very different approaches, so I don't think it's harsh at all, to mention it, if we're going to pat him on the back for making changes. If I drop a drop a cup of coffee in a restaurant, and then clean it up, I might get praise for cleaning up the mess, but I have to accept that it was still clumsy of me. I don't focus on positives, or, negatives, but try to judge things factually. Mentioning that isn't being negative, just factual.

Koeman did mention that it was good that the change worked but he should have made the change at the start instead. Which, was nice to hear him be self -critical.
