Go Jags. Thanks, but sadly age and lack of pace has caught up with you His nerve has gone. He only has to play one good game at Everton and he'll be given a new deal.

PHIL JAGIELKA is set for talks over his Everton future. He’s been a regular at the back since joining from Sheffield United in 2007.But with Ronald Koeman looking to revamp his squad and bring in some fresh faces, Jagielka could be on the way out. The centre-back is wanted by Premier League rivals West Ham and Sunderland, report the Daily Mail. And it’s claimed the England international will speak with the club’s hierarchy to find out where he stands. Koeman is after a new centre-back, with Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk on their radar. And the arrival of the Dutchman either this month or in the summer could lead to the end of Jagielka’s 10-year spell at Everton. A switch to Sunderland to work again with David Moyes could appeal. Jagielka may also fancy moving south to the London Stadium. Daily Star

It seems an obvious move at Sunderland. He'd be playing with his ex manager and some old team mates, and Everton want Kone. Can anybody see a 2 player deal with Jags and Macca both going there?

Moyes chases Phil Jagielka: Transfer updateFormer Everton manager targets Blues skipperDavid Moyes wants a reunion with Phil Jagielka, the centre-back he took to Everton for a bargain £4m in the summer of 2007. The Sunderland boss is keen for Jagielka, 34, to rejoin him in the North-east, six months before the England centre-back qualifies for an Everton testimonial. Jagielka, still the Blues club captain, has seen Gareth Barry and Leighton Baines wear the armband in recent weeks as he has started only two of the Blues last nine games. He is reported to be seeking talks with manager Ronald Koeman about his long term future, with Moyes keen to take him north to shore up the Black Cats’ leaky defence - only two Premier League clubs have conceded more this season. Moyes is without an entire team of first-team players thanks to injuries and absences caused by the Africa Cup of Nations, but is expected to resist the temptation to pack his side with youth players in tonight’s FA Cup replay at Burnley. West Ham have also inquired about Jagielka’s potential availability, and Moyes could struggle to meet Everton’s asking price with very limited funds at his disposal. Everton have shown interest in Black Cats defender Lamine Kone, but Moyes would be keen to avoid any swap deal, wanting to add to his squad numbers rather than deplete them. Jagielka has entered the final 18 months of his current deal. He has been a superb servant for the Blues, making 337 appearances despite suffering a long-term knee injury which kept him out of the 2009 FA Cup final. But he has seen Mason Holgate, 20, Ramiro Funes Mori and Ashley Williams all move ahead of him in Ronald Koeman's selection plans in recent weeks.
