Of late, Danny Welbeck has been deployed on the left wing but he isn’t a natural winger. Ashley Young started his Manchester United career in very good form but has been out of favour this season and Nani has never really reached his potential. So now who will replace him on the field? So who better to replace the Welsh wizard than his fellow countryman Gareth Bale? Who is being linked with a move away to practically any club that can afford him. But if rumours are true it could cost the Red Devils £70 million pounds. The favourite successor and top of the list is José Mourinho but would he really fit the bill with his questionable behaviour? Also, he doesn’t seem to stay at a club for a very long time which could be a major obstacle. With Everton’s latest 2-0 victory over Manchester City almost handing Manchester United the title David Moyes is the fan’s favourite to replace Sir Alex when he finally decides to pass the torch on. David Moyes is a loyal manager and is the third longest serving in the Premier League behind Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. He continues to work miracles with Everton on such a limited budget bringing the best out of his players. So he definitely deserves the chance to spend some money and win major honours. Although Moyes is yet to win a major trophy he did take his team to the FA Cup final in 2009 losing 2-1 to Chelsea. And despite the injection of money in the top flight of football Everton have been in the top eight for the last six years of the Premier League and look set to better their seventh place of last season currently sitting in sixth place above Liverpool. So give David Moyes a shot with the big boys and let’s see what he’s made of. Moyes, Giggs and Bale could be the perfect combination for Manchester United to continue their success even without the Great Sir Alex Ferguson to guide them.

Moyes will never manage Manchester United I'm sure of it. I don't think many supporters would accept it, as they will be aware he has not won anything in 11 years, and with Moyes dour and tentative approaches, he could have all the money he wants at his disposal, and even then, it wouldn't make much difference. I still think a job at Celtic looks probable as Moyes may wish a return at his old club, but Old Trafford ? Between slim chance and no chance for me, but time will tell. It would be a real suprise if the day ever arrives and Moyes takes over there, as I think maybe Scolari, Hiddink or Ancelotti (for example) would be a better bet. At least someone who has some winning experience.

We play good stuff at times with what we have, so no reason he can't get the Mancs to do the same. I don't know if he would get the job, or even want it, but anybody who goes there is on a hiding to nothing.

I'd love it if they offered it to him and he said no. Blue Bill seems confident about him staying so can't see that sour faced Taggart retiring this season. Would love it if they went shite though and lost out on the title again. Last year was funny as *****.
