Russian football experiencing deep crisis which is a reflection of the situation in which our country finds itself. World cup, heh. 4 years ago I was doubting that it’s really gonna happen, still tow years left - anything can happen

Interesting stuff mate. There is a lot of stigma surrounding Russia, and I don't think it's a place that most of us know much about. When I think of Russia I think of Vodka, Military, beautiful women and mafia thugs. I think of cold icy landscapes and Nuclear submarines not to mention the Chernobyl fallout. It seems to be a country that is secret to the outside and quite mysterious, and when ever I've come across Russians they always looked like they were fresh out of the army and very disciplined, most of whom were mechanics or engineers. It's a place that intrigues me. Well from your associations only beautiful women makes me happy). I guess history and some modern developments intensified this image. Chernobyl is the Ukraine now although I understand every thing that happened in Union or in Sovok, as I prefer to call it, usually associated with Russia. There is something to talk about). Starting this thread I was a bit worried that talking about living in Moscow will inevitably lead me into political subjects thus going against forum rules. Remark: Sovok [sɒvɒk] is Russian word for a dust tray and is depreciatory derivative from Soviet. Politics is ok as long as it's sensible, but generally it can be a dangerous subject, as can religion.
