According to L'Equipe, Everton were positioning themselves to sign Amir Richardson from Stade Reims this summer, having shown interest in the central midfielder earlier in the window. Standing at 6 foot 5, Everton weren't the only club interested in Richardson, and a fresh report from Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Serie A giants Fiorentina have won the race for the midfielder's signature in a frustrating blow for the Toffees.

Everton are competing with Leicester City to sign Atalanta striker El Bilal Toure in this transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [pg 109, 10 August] that the Toffees are up against both Leicester and AFC Bournemouth for the forward, who has been in Serie A for a single season.

A story from BILD in Germany now claims that Everton want to sign Maxence Lacroix.
The VfL Wolfsburg No.4 looks set to leave the Bundesliga outfit this summer, as he is refusing to sign a new contract with just 11 months remaining on his current deal.
BILD state that Lacroix dreams of playing in the Premier League, and the German news outlet believe a deal could be done for €20m (£17.1) due to Lacroix’s contract situation.

Almeria’s Largie Ramazani, a Manchester United academy product, has been closely monitored by Everton. Despite his team’s relegation, Ramazani scored four goals in 31 appearances last season, proving his potential in a struggling side. His versatility allows him to play both as a winger and a forward, making him a valuable asset.
“Ramazani is one player we are keeping close tabs on. His best position is as a winger, but he can also play up front when required,” a source close to Everton’s scouting team shared

Everton have made a bid of £24 million for Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque, according to a report from Football365. The Catalonian giants are looking to offload several players in the ongoing transfer window - as such, this would open the door for Everton to bring the 19 year old to Goodison Park.
