Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti dismisses idea of signing Sami Khedira this month Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out a potential Everton swoop on Sami Khedira, according to the man himself.
Everton have recently been linked with a move for the World Cup-winning midfielder, who is currently struggling for game time with Juventus.
Ancelotti worked with the midfielder previously during his time at Real Madrid. Over the weekend the Sunday People (03/01/20; pg 51) suggested that Everton had held talks about a move and that an 18-month contract would be on the table.
Khedira is out of contract at the end of the season and Juventus are willing to shift him early in January to get his reported (Football Italia) £105,000-a-week wages off their bill.
However, Everton’s boss has been discussing the availability of Khedira on an Italian radio station and made it clear that the Toffees are in no need to strengthen their central midfield options.
