Everton are reportedly ready to rival Manchester United for the signature of Lille attacker Jonathan Ikone this summer. The 21-year-old has had a direct hand in 11 goals from 36 appearances for Lille this season, scoring four and creating a further seven across all competitions.
Ikone's form has seen him linked with a move away from the French outfit, although they are understood to have put a £60m price tag on his head.
Despite that, Le Foot reports that Everton are still weighing up a move when the transfer window reopens, with Man United also thought to be interested.
Ikone's performances earned him a maiden call-up to the France squad last year, with Didier Deschamps handing him his debut against Albania in September.
The attacking midfielder, who can also play on the wing, is one of a number of Lille players to have been linked with a move away from the club this summer, including another Everton target in Gabriel Magalhaes and another United-linked player in Victor Osimhen.

Everton have reportedly seen a €45m (£39.5m) bid for Andrea Belotti rejected by Torino. The 26-year-old has been in impressive form for his Italian club during the 2019-20 campaign, finding the back of the net on 15 occasions in 31 appearances in all competitions.
Belotti has registered nine goals in 23 Serie A outings this season, while he has netted 85 times in 179 appearances for Torino since arriving from Palermo in August 2015. According to Tuttosport, the Toffees recently submitted a €45m (£39.5m) bid for the Italy international under the instruction of head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
However, the report claims that Torino swiftly rejected the offer for the centre-forward.
Belotti's current deal with Moreno Longo's side will expire in the summer of 2022.

Everton have initiated contact with the agent of Gerard González, report Sport this weekend.
The Catalan newspaper are looking at Premier League clubs trying to snatch away La Masia talents, something they say happens every year. This year is no exception and there are several English clubs working to take youngsters from Barcelona.
If they can do so before a professional contract is signed, then there’s no transfer fee to pay.
Sport says Gerard González has been performing at a high level for Barcelona’s youth teams, and the same age levels with the Spanish national set-up.
That’s brought attention from several Premier League sides, yet it’s only Carlo Ancelotti’s side who get a mention from the newspaper.
Gerard González turned 16 years of age in February, and his representatives are ‘handling’ offers from a number of clubs, with Everton again the only club mentioned and presented as making a real effort for the signing.

As per A Bola via Sport Witness (h/t Liverpool Echo), Everton have made contact with FC Porto over a move for winger Jesus Corona ahead of a possible summer transfer.
Corona, 27, has established himself as one of the best players for the Portuguese outfit over the past few years since joining them in the summer of 2015. He was also influential in the club’s title-winning 2017/18 campaign and has continued with the fine form in the past two seasons.

Everton could face a battle to sign Roma winger Cengiz Under this summer, according to reports.
Last month, Gazzetta Di Parma reported that Everton are leading the chase for the player who has failed to convince Roma of his long-term future since signing a new deal in August.
According to Turkish Football that deal represented a significant increase on his previous contract, seeing Under move from a salary of £19,000-a-week to £48,000-a-week. That will continue to increase year-on-year and with Roma unconvinced regarding Under’s progress, they are now ready to sell.
