Everton have distanced themselves from reports that they are considering a surprise move for free agent Samir Nasri. The former Arsenal and Manchester City forward will complete a drugs ban next month and will be free to train with interested clubs again. And reports this morning claimed that Everton manager Marco Silva had discussed with his staff the possibility of bringing the former French international back to England. The report states that Mourinho will let the former Sporting Lisbon man leave – and it is understood that Everton have now initiated talks with just weeks to go until the January transfer window opens.
