Interesting read Ross, by heck you're changing a bit aren't you? Is this the real Ross Crombie coming out; you've been so positive, impartial and constructive before. Don't tell me that we have finally brought you down to our level. I know I've been a moaner most times this year but Everton's performances have been quite depressing. However I swore that I wouldn't be renewing my season ticket for next season, but what did I do? - I broke all my beliefs on 'Positive Thinking' - I renewed on Sunday! (what a difference a home win can make)! Well, I'm going into my sixty third year of going to the home matches - don't get that for murder! My first game at seven years old was home to Bolton in November 1954.
i wonder how much you spent if you add it all up

I believe firmly in positive first, but you have to have some reasons to justify it. I have tried to accentuate the positives since writing these blogs (and in life actually!), but Everton has, for now at least, drummed that out of me. There is very little positive bedrock on which to build at the moment, with possible exceptions such as the lads in the U21s (who aren't given enough of a chance to show what they can do - Leon Osman yesterday for example? WTF?), the promise of Stones and Barkley if they stay, and the hint of better things to come with Moshiri's millions. But even that will be eaten up for mediocre talent as players' transfer fees inflate with the TV money around, and we need a man at the helm who can use whatever money we get wisely. I'm not in a great place at the moment with this team.
