Why was Niasse missing for Everton under-23s in the mini-derby?Senegal striker was absent for David Unsworth's side at Prenton ParkOumar Niasse has suffered an injuryEverton striker Oumar Niasse faces up to two weeks on the sidelines after picking up an injury. The £13.5million forward missed this afternoon’s mini-derby with Liverpool at Prenton Park after sustaining a knock in training last week. Niasse has been a regular for Everton’s under-23s this season after being frozen out at first-team level by Ronald Koeman. The Senegal international has scored against Arsenal and Manchester United and struck a hat-trick against Reading on Monday night in the Blues’ 6-3 win. But in another blow to his Goodison career, Niasse now faces up to two weeks out through injury. The 26-year-old has impressed U23s boss David Unsworth with his attitude but Niasse remains firmly out of Koeman’s plans. The Everton boss, who watched the mini-derby earlier today, said this week: “I never say never in football but the decision I took is not to change and it’s between us.” Liv Echo What caused this mysterious injury? Apparently Koeman made him carry his own locker before crucifying him. #GiveNiasseAlocker

Koeman's obvious dislike for players is worrying.
Surely more flexability would create more competition for places and shake up the complacency of some of the over hyped prima donnas currently automatically selected week in week out.

He said he hopes Niasse gets a hatrick for the under 23 team every week. He's a bit of a ***** by the sounds of it.
