I expect Kone to actually shoot, though considering he reckons he's a striker and all. He never shoots and sometimes it seem like the crowd have to tell him before he makes up his mind to. It's the pass pass pass mentality that players are coached currently. You can pass all you want but at some point the ball has to go in the net. Arsenal used to be like that. I don't like it. I think possesion based football is way overrated. I'm not saying long ball football is the way but getting the ball in the net before the opposition have time to get back and set up their defense makes sense.

As long as you win the league it doesn't matter. What we think as fans and being entertained isn't the same as a club earning money think. You'd like that title winning Arsenal style though wouldn't you?

He's looked good over the two games he's played and if Martinez had any sense (I know, I know) then he'd start him. Besic is good a fighter and not afraid to get stuck in. He's great also very good on the ball, can see a pass and not afraid to shoot. I'd love to see him, McCarthy and Barkley in midfield as they all cover for each other's weaknesses and adds dynamism in the middle. Watch him start today and his hamstring go.

I agree, although I don't see in Barkley what everybody else sees, and he is too slow to make his mind up for my liking. Last night in particular I thought he was appalling in the first half. He does have off days but let's allow him them given his young age. He will have been nervous too you can bet your life against the power of Man City. He scored a good goal against them not too long ago.

Pass the ball if you have no forward opportunity. Don't pass it if you can break forward yourself and shoot.
