Everton defenders Seamus Coleman and Brendan Galloway spread festive cheer at Christmas PartyEverton full-backs hand out presents as part of club's BlueCrimbo appeal Everton players Brendan Galloway and Seamus Coleman surprise kids at BlueChrimbo event Everton’s Seamus Coleman and Brendan Galloway spread some festive cheer to kids at a special Christmas party this week. Organised by Everton in the Community in association with the Everton Fans’ Forum, the Blues defenders were on hand to deliver boxes of gifts to local children and children in care as part of the club’s BlueCrimbo Blue Box Appeal. Over 50 young people attended the party where the youngsters took part in games, arts and crafts and enjoyed a hot meal, which was provided by club partner Sodexo. Everton’s Blue Santa also made an appearance handing out the boxes filled with gifts kindly donated by Everton supporters, and the club’s main sponsor Chang. Coleman said: “It was great to be here, the club and Community do some great things that are always nice to be a part of.  Everton players Brendan Galloway and Seamus Coleman surprise kids at BlueChrimbo event “It was a pleasure to meet the children and young people, hand over some presents and generally get involved in the party!” Among those also who received a Blue Box to brighten up their Christmas were participants from Everton in the Community’s Breathing Space programme, which works with 14-19-year-olds who are in - or are at risk of entering - the care system. Ed Parker, Breathing Space Youth Engagement Worker for EitC, said: “It has been such a fantastic event and I would like to thank the Everton’s Fans’ Forum for helping to organise the party and bringing so much joy to the young people who attended. “Every child left the party with a smile on their face and I would like to thank every supporter who donated to the Blue Box Appeal and helped make Christmas even more special for our participants.”  Everton players Brendan Galloway and Seamus Coleman surprise kids at BlueChrimbo event The club’s BlueCrimbo Blue Box Appeal has not only looked after children in Liverpool but has also supported low income families, homeless people, the elderly and individuals who often have to make a choice between buying food or paying bills at Christmas.
