New manager for Everton's FA Cup opponents DagenhamJohn Still returns to relegation threatened DaggersDagenham and Redbridge manager John Still, back for a third spell. EVERTON’S FA Cup opponents Dagenham have appointed a new manager just a week before their third round trip to Merseyside. John Still has returned to the relegation-threatened league two club to embark on his third stint as manager. The 65-year-old, who left the Daggers to take charge of Luton in February 2013, has signed a contract which runs to the end of the 2016/17 season. Still said: “I’m delighted. The club has been important to me since I was 15 years old. I’ve spent a lot of time here as a supporter, player and manager. “We’re in a difficult position so it’s really important we can try and do some things that can keep us in the Football League.” Still first coached the east London club from 1992-94 but enjoyed greater success during his second spell, steering Dagenham to two promotions from the Conference to League One between 2004-13. Luton came calling almost three years ago but they sacked him earlier this month. “It doesn’t feel weird to be back here to be honest,” Still said of his return to Victoria Road. “There’s no real changes. I’ve come back and it’s like putting on an old pair of slippers, they just fitted back in really. “The staff and people around the ground are similar. There is no real settling in period now. It’s just a case of getting to know the players and trying to get results that are much needed.” Dagenham are 23rd in the League Two table having taken only 16 points from 24 games and Still’s mission to preserve their Football League status begins with Saturday’s trip to face Exeter. The following fixture sees the Daggers travel to Goodison Park to face Everton in the FA Cup. Chairman David Bennett, whose board sacked Wayne Burnett on December 21, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have John back, in the situation that we find ourselves in. “I truly believe that he is the right man to turn things around.” Echo

If we can't get past this team we might as well give up so don't expect any shock exit. I agree. He has to go if we don't beat them. Although I can see us making hardwork of it. I predict 5-2; but only after they make it 2-2. That's Everton, that.
