Well at least we can keep the cost down by keeping the goal posts. Kenwright's such a miser.

Liverpool is a great big city, full of clapped out areas, so why we have to target a park is beyond me. When I was a kid every estate had a bit of greenbelt, and now it's disappearing so fast that our grandkids won't know what a blade of grass is unless they become encyclopedia readers. Is the old Littlewoods building up the hill still empty? For me, that has great location and the area could do with updating. You'll probably find it's a listed building. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Littlewoods_Pools_buildingI'm not sure what to think of building a new stadium in Walton Hall Park, but will be happy for them to keep it in Liverpool which I think is most important. I worked in the old Littlewoods building for nearly twenty years up until 1995 and soon after it became Littlewoods Lotteries. However, I think it has been derelict for a while now. I would point out though, that the building in the picture above is of Littelwoods Edge Lane, which was also left empty for a number of years. There will be many arguments for and against the new stadium being built in Walton Hall Park, although I would imagine the nearby resident won't be to happy, Very interested to see how this develops.

I think he meant Edge Lane. Where did you work? At the old airport?
