I can't help but feel like we take very small steps, but are told the story in yards. I'll bet right now that we'll still be having the same conversation in 2020. We're so used to not being able to have ambition that when something good happens we doubt it.

A round stadium isn't my cup of tea, but, whatever they want I assume will be good. We DON'T want another stadium like West Ham seemed to inherit, I just hope the supporters will be closer than the Hammers have. There's no atmosphere there!
Would you be happy if we stayed at Goodison?

Its great to see all the RS on social media complaining about where the money is coming from and how it is soooooooo wrong for the council to invest in EFC when they have been doing it for years for the RS. Personally, as I am not from the city of Liverpool and have never lived there, so I don't have to worry about any potential increase in Council tax due to this investment, and it would be easy for me to say I don't really care as all I really want is a stadium fit for my team. But looking at the bigger picture, IF the ground is built and IF the capacity is increased, surely will be a good investment for all concerned. Yes the club could and should make money, but wont Liverpool as a city benefit? Out of towners, such as myself currently avoid the city centre. With the new location many more will come to the city centre, they will spend money in cafes, pubs etc. Many will use public transport, especially if rail links to the stadium are built/improved, so more money will be raised in fares etc. I also it would be a major attraction for other regeneration on the dock area, again bring in more money for the city. Could it be that some of the RS objectors are more concerned that future investors will no longer invest in their home town, Oslo.
Do football fans shop? Most go to the game then either the pub or home etc but away fans normally jump back on the coach or head for the train. I don't see it making too much difference to the economy in that sense. Liverpool fans like to have a moan but it's no nearer to the city than Goodison is now really.

I can't help but feel like we take very small steps, but are told the story in yards. I'll bet right now that we'll still be having the same conversation in 2020. We don't hear much from the club about anything really. As far as news goes they're generally last to announce anything. I think they leave it to the Echo but they seem to get their news off Twitter, as some of the articles they write are bemusing.
