How long will Everton take to build a new stadium? We take a look at European stadiums under construction or recently builtEverton plan to make a significant announcement within three months on the next step in their search for a new stadium. The Blues preferred site is at Bramley Moore dock and, in May this year, Mayor Joe Anderson proclaimed the club would have a new home “within three years.” Everton remain optimistic about the prospects of leaving Goodison but stressed at last week’s General Meeting that there remain “significant issues” to overcome before they can press ahead. It is understood that, including the purchase of the land, a new ground at Bramley Moore dock would cost arounfd £350m - but how long would it take to build? Everton have not disclosed what capacity of stadium they are looking to construct but here we take a look at a variety of European grounds, either under construction or recently built. And as if by magic, the above article appears .......... They're consistent. I can't help but feel like we take very small steps, but are told the story in yards. I'll bet right now that we'll still be having the same conversation in 2020.
