The first liner sheets to aid with the roof build-up have been slotted into place at Everton Stadium.
As work on the roof accelerates - with the second section of the first truss in the north stand bolted into place earlier this week – the roof panelling is following quickly behind.
Around half of the roof panelling is being fixed at ground level, to reduce the risk of harm by working at height and to minimise the impact of the wind in the construction operation.
Temporary steel bracing is also helping to secure the trusses until the whole truss assembly and roof barrel are complete and able to support their own weight.
Meanwhile, at the ground level of the west stand, the commencement of the fit-out and finishing works within the stadium have begin with the installation of the first rainwater drainage pipes.
This marks a major milestone for construction partner Laing O’Rourke, as the build becomes a building.
Also, in the west stand, the two-tier concrete terracing units have now been installed across much of what will become the second level.
