Aaron Lennon cannot wait to face Manchester United on Saturday – especially if Everton can re-enact the performance of last season. The Blues blew Louis Van Gaal’s side away with three unanswered goals in one of the displays of the season and Lennon hopes for more of the same on Saturday. No stranger to the rivalry with the Red Devils from his spell coming through at Leeds United, the winger is looking forward to facing the Old Trafford outfit. “I can’t wait for Saturday,” he told the Everton matchday programme. “We had a great result against them last year at Goodison. I think it was one of the best team performances in my time here. “We started brightly, the tempo was great and we got about them. Everything went right for us because of how well we performed. “I wouldn’t say they are the United of old. They still have some top quality players and are still a good side. We won’t be taking them lightly but we are confident in ourselves. “They’ve started fairly well this season but we’re going along nicely too and we’re very confident going into the game. We’re looking forward to it and we’ll be ready.” Lennon features as the main interviewee in Saturday’s issue of the matchday programme talking further about the challenge of facing United, nurturing youngsters Tyias Browning and Brendan Galloway, plus Phil Jagielka’s evening as England captain. Joining him in Saturday’s issue is Louis Saha, who speaks about Romelu Lukaku and what lessons he can learn from the Frenchman’s former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. A look at Everton’s youth sides sees Tom Davies, Antony Evans and John Doolan all feature, while Francis Jeffers takes a trip down memory lane back to his old FA Youth Cup days.

Fully confident and can't wait for the game. It is important that we don't go behind like we've done in other games and try to stay sharp and most of all take our chances. Mirallas may play a part as he likes to score against these.

Life goes on mate. We're here for the football, and the memories and emotions come from the football, as without it, we wouldn't have known Kendall, so it's ok to love Howard, and still support the team. What a great day to celebrate him.
