(just so you know I'm a Spurs fan to avoid confusion!!) First half we were quite dominant in midfield and had more 'chances' than you but it still seems like the players either have no idea what kind of runs Soldado makes or that AVB has no idea how to set up the team to make the most of Soldado. I hope this is just a spell where the team we've got now are still trying to blend it together. When it comes to controlling games, as in the first half, we manage to do so quite well but when it comes to generating chances for Soldado we seem to fail miserably. In the second half we were certainly outplayed by you guys but still you couldn't convert it into chances much in the same way we couldn't in the first half. The poster above says it best when he say's that the game could have gone on for two days and still wouldn't have produced a goal... Not exactly the best game in the world and though I called a close game I did think it would be more entertaning then what it turned out to be! Lastly in my opinion I don't get why their seems to be so much negativity aimed at Martinez. Sure this wasn't the best game I've seen but it takes a while for a new managers tactics and style of play to be fully implemented into a team, and I still think you've been much more entertaning in the style of play than under Moyes, who I really don't rate that highly. This season I've been much more impressed by Everton than I was under Moyes where often the football on show wasn't great. If at the season you were told that after 10 games you'd be 1 point of second, 6 of top and 2 points ahead of Man U you would've taken it?! I know I would!! Good luck for Thursday night Craig. I don't think being frustrated is the same as being negative. 7th is nothing to get partying over either when we could have gone 2nd. Yes points are fine, but draws don't get us into Europe as last year showed and that's where we want to be. If Ricky Hatton gets battered for 11 rounds and knocks the other boxer out cold with 10 seconds to go, we will all celebrate the win, but if we say he was garbage the last thing we need is for anybody to say we are being negative. Things are what they are. We all know about the transition and all know it will take time, but do we have to ignore the first 45 minutes and pretend it didn't happen? Neville Southall certainly wouldn't be happy with 7th or Saturdays game.
