This week's edition of the Everton Show was not to be missed - but if you did, watch it back on demand below. Episode 19 - the final one of 2017 - featured an exclusive interview with former manager, Mike Walker. Walker, who was in charge at Goodison from January to November in 1994, has said very little about his tenure since leaving the club but he sat down with the Everton Show in Nicosia recently prior to the Europa League game with Apollon Limassol. Now 72-years old, Walker is based in the Cypriot capital and he spoke about his turbulent time at Everton and reflected on things he would have done differently if he had his time again. He also gave his thoughts on what went wrong for Everton at the time and, of course, he reminisced about THAT game against Wimbledon. There is a coaching theme to this week’s show with former assistant manager Archie Knox also featured. Knox called into USM Finch Farm before Christmas to see some old pals and he speaks candidly about how the game has changed over the years. With Graeme Sharp on the couch, it's a jam-packed show to end to the year, and you can watch it below.

Funes Mori 'Inspired' By Fit-Again TeammatesRamiro Funes Mori says he has been “inspired” by watching Yannick Bolasie and James McCarthy successfully reintegrate into the first-team fold as he targets his own Everton comeback. Mori has spent much of the past eight months alongside the duo in the Blues’ treatment room having suffered a serious knee injury last March. Bolasie returned after a year out with his own knee problem against West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day, while McCarthy made only his second appearance of the season against Bournemouth four days later following a spate of hamstring issues. Mori himself is having to bide his time as he seeks to pull on the royal blue shirt once more but told this week’s The Everton Show that moment is edging nearer. “It’s been ages since my injury but I’m feeling better, day by day I’m progressing and I’m feeling comfortable with my knee, so hopefully everything goes well to come back as soon as possible,” said the defender. “It’s not been nice to see all my teammates injured but it is what it is and I’ve been doing some training with them and it’s been good to have someone to talk to or to be doing the rehab with. That’s been good. “I’m happy for Yannick and James because when you suffer injuries it’s very tough - you don’t want to be injured but it’s part of football. “It’s inspired me to come back, and the way I see them, they look sharp, they look good, they look very fit, so I’m very happy for them that they’re back in the squad.” Funes Mori has been buoyed to see Everton’s turnaround in form in recent weeks but admitted his frustration at being unavailable with a new manager taking the reins. However, the challenge of impressing Sam Allardyce and his coaching staff is proving an added motivation for the 26-year-old Argentina international. “When you’re injured and a new manager comes it’s like you give an advantage (to others) because you can’t show yourself or be out there showing what you can do,” he added. “But I think the manager knows every player and knows what our players can give to the team, to every training session and to the Club. “I think I’ve done well for the Club but I think I need to keep improving and when I come back I have to show him I can be in the squad. “It wasn’t nice to see Everton at the bottom of the league but now we are in a better position and I know we have the players to climb even higher.”
