Oh so its going to be one of them seasons, dreadful 1st half in 1st game, we improved in the 2nd half. Decent and looked dangerous in the 2nd game only to roll over and have our tummy tickled by City last time out. Will Roberto learn from the cup game? I highly doubt it, he will continue in persisting with 3 centre def mid, possibly having one out wide, one of Mirallas or Geri will miss out. Ross might be shoved out wide nullifying his threat. Spurs havent started great but be shocked if it takes them long to get going and I think it will be today. If Roberto picks the right team we can get something but he won't so I will go 3-1 Spurs. Roberto's team will be, Howard, Coleman, Jag, Stones, Oviedo, Cleverley, Barry, Mac, Geri, Kone, Luka

Boss: Replicate Saints Showing
Roberto Martinez has called on his Everton side to replicate the fine showing they produced in their last league outing on the road in order to beat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening. The Blues served up a magnificent display at Southampton a fortnight ago as Romelu Lukaku brace and Ross Barkley strike ensured a comfortable 3-0 win. Last season, Everton slipped to an ill-deserved 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane, despite taking an early lead through a stunning effort from winger Kevin Mirallas. And Martinez believes they can get some token of revenge this time around around, should they pick up from where they left off at St Mary’s two weeks ago. “I have been very impressed with the level of the team as a whole so far,” said Martinez on Friday. “Our performance at Southampton was probably a leveller in terms of the standards that we expect away from home and I think in the game against Manchester City, in the first half, we were very strong and it was unfortunate we didn’t score. “We are going to get better. The starting point of the levels of individuals has been really positive and exciting. We all know how strong we can be and what we need to do is be consistent with our performances. “Our performance at White Hart Lane in the first 20 minutes last season was probably the best away display we had that campaign. We got ourselves in front and in the second half we completely controlled the game. “The scoreline was against us but the performance was very much a positive one. What we need to add to that positive performance against Spurs is a positive result at the end of it.” There has been plenty of change at Tottenham this summer, with five new signings and 19 players leaving the North London outfit. Martinez, however, doesn’t believe such an overhaul will affect Mauricio Pochettino's side as they look to build on last season's fifth-place finish and says Saturday's game will provide another marker of where the Blues can set their sights this term. “What I see when I look at Spurs is a very strong team,” he added. “I think Mauricio Pochettino has got the team playing the way he wants and they have really good quality all over the park. “I think the individuals have now been playing together for a long time and that gives them a real stability. They’ve had a few new signings but they fitted in to the way they wanted to play last season and I think we know what to expect. “We know that they’re going to be a really strong team and it’s a really strong test. I think facing Spurs away is another measurement of how strong we can be.”
