Man City transfers: Fabian Delph deal back ON after amazing u-turnManchester City could be about to land Fabian Delph from Aston Villa at the second time of asking after the midfielder changed his mind again.Fabian Delph has done another U-turn and is set to sign for Manchester City in an £8million deal. The Aston Villa midfielder was all set to make the move last weekend, when he was expected to have a medical and complete the transfer in time to join the Blues on their pre-season tour to Australia. But that deal fell apart on Saturday morning when Delph announced he had changed his mind and would be staying at Villa. Now, it seems, the England player has decided to go ahead with the original move. He travelled to Wilmslow for a medical on Friday and could complete his move before the day is out. After Villa officials had indicated the deal was imminent, on Saturday Delph put out a statement that he was staying. Delph arrives for medical He said: “I'm aware there has been intense media speculation surrounding my future in the last 24 hours and I want to set the record straight. “I'm not leaving. I'm staying at the football club and I can't wait for the start of the season and captaining this great football club.” What has changed in the six days since is unclear, but the impending transfer of striker Christian Benteke to Liverpool may have influenced it.
