The Internationals are an absolute piss take. Why don't they play them mid season? We need to get back into a good level of performance, so maybe it's not such a bad thing, except our players are not training with the squad. I worry incase anybody gets injured.

Internationals used to have a element of excitement and sometimes wonder but that has gone down the pan I personally gave up supporting england a long time ago due to media hype & crap footie dont reckon they will qualify either Belgium will be the ones to watch. But it is a necessary evil to have these games so all teams are in the same boat

But it is a necessary evil to have these games so all teams are in the same boat I couldn't have said it better mate. Growing up the England games were a buzz but I think fans are now fed up with the FA, and the press, and the players getting picked. Selectors should be looking at all the divisions for talent instead of just the lucrative sponsorships of certain players. Can you imagine the uproar if all of a sudden Hodgson dropped every big name player and brought in a team of unknowns? The game comes a bad 2nd best to all who have their fingers in the pie.

But it is a necessary evil to have these games so all teams are in the same boat I don't want it to be a last chance saloon for the older players. Hodgson has a habit of using younger lads then resorting to the old school as soon as the pressure is on. Some hungry players who work well together are better than individual talent.

It does always come up in the press that its somebodys or other " last chance to shine in a tournament" Thats been the story for ages. Hodgson is the last of the old school generation so will always resort to kick n run I dont think he has the eyes for the job ie not spotting raw talent when its all around him. Hoddle was the best chance they had n ees way gone Youth in management seems to be a way forward?
