Everton Football Club has officially revealed its third and final strip for the 2013/14 season. The new third shirt - available to pre-order from Thursday 5 September - was officially unveiled to supporters on Tuesday by the Blues’ new loan signing Gareth Barry. The 2013/14 third shirt is a dazzling white pearl and dark navy combination and features a high v-neck collarless design. Similar to the popular away shirt, the third jersey boasts the darker colour across the neck and shoulders and a horizontal stripe running around the chest and arm. The kit, which is available in-store from Tuesday 17 September and will be worn by the first team away to West Ham on 21 September, has been produced by Nike and features the leading sports brand’s unique Dri-Fit technology, which is designed to draw sweat away from the body to keep players cool and dry during a game. Everton’s 2013/14 third kit is made of fabric weighing just 150 grams, 23 per cent lighter than previous Nike kits and boasts a 20 per cent stronger knit structure and significantly improved stretch. Like both the home and away shirts, the Blues’ new away strip is made from recycled polyester in accordance with Nike’s commitment to produce athletic wear with a low environmental impact. The shirt and shorts of each kit are made from up to thirteen recycled plastic water bottles. The 2013/14 Everton third kit will be available to pre-order online at evertondirect.com or in-store at Everton One or Everton Two from Thursday 5 September and will also be available to purchase in selected JD Sports stores. To make the shirts more widely available to Evertonians, this season’s offering will go on sale in Liverpool, Manchester and London branches of the high-street sportswear firm. The new third strip will be officially launched at a special event on Tuesday 17 September.
