I thought I'd start a thread about things that bring back memories of those halcyon days of your childhood and youth. Maybe post a few pics of things that remind you of those days. #yay#Ok, I'll play....... Being served by white coated assistants in a Sainsbury's that smelt of bacon. The smell of coal fires.....and pea-souper fogs. Endless grey Sunday afternoons. British Railways....and fares you could afford. Old cars with running boards that littl'uns could ride on. Short trousers. IZAL toilet 'paper'. Action Man/GI Joe Spot The Ball competitions in the papers. Socialism.  |

That toilet paper (is it the shiny stuff?) was everywhere. We had the Littlewoods pools, and Spot the ball. Trevor Francis was the first million pound player when I was about 10 or so.
