Arsenal are reportedly ready to loan Yaya Sanogo out in the January transfer window, with French club Bordeaux emerging as the youngster’s most likely destination.
Competing with the likes of Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez has limited the 21-year-old’s playing time at the Emirates, but he has featured in two of the Gunners’ Champions League matches, scoring against Borussia Dortmund in the process.
A loan move could accelerate the French striker’s development, and although reports had suggested that Ligue 1 side Lorient were prepared to table an offer, according to L’Equipe Bordeaux are now leading the race.
Bordeaux are thought to be keen on a move as their leading striker Cheick Diabate will be away on African Cup of Nations duty in January, but will need to move quickly as a host of Premier League clubs are also interested in the Arsenal striker.
