The timing could be good as they have been tripping up recently, but then they can say the exact same thing. It will be a hard game no matter what and if we don't try something new we could be in trouble come 2015. We have a habit of doing well against the Geordies so I'm going to go for a 3-0 win.

Any win is a good win at the moment and we have to keep believing that we are a good team.

TEAM NEWS
Everton have new injury headaches despite welcoming James McCarthy, Kevin Mirallas and John Stones back for the Boxing Day game against Stoke.
The Blues lost Tim Howard and Phil Jagielka at half time in that game, with calf and knee problems respectively.
Stones and Mirallas also required treatment in that match but both were able to complete the game.
Leon Osman, Tony Hibbert, Christian Atsu and Darron Gibson remain sidelined as well.
Newcastle have their own lengthy injury list, including the likes of Gabriel Obertan, Davide Santon, Siem De Jong, Tim Krul and Ryan Taylor.
FORM
Everton haven’t enjoyed the best December so far but the Blues have won four of their last five matches against the Magpies, including their last two at St James’ Park.
After a resurgent spell following a poor period Newcastle are struggling again this season, having lost their last four games.
They lost the Tyne-Weir derby before Christmas then went down 3-1 to Manchester United on Boxing Day.
LAST MATCH
Newcastle 0-3 Everton - 25 March 2014.
Last time Everton headed to Tyneside they recorded an excellent victory, inspired by Ross Barkley’s stunning opener.
The England man ran the length of the pitch before smashing into the roof of the net.
Romelu Lukaku struck from a Gerard Deulofeu cross and then Leon Osman added some gloss late on with another superlative effort.
ONE TO WATCH
Papiss Cisse
The Senegalese hitman is being used principally from the bench by Alan Pardew this season but has still managed to weigh in with eight goals this term.
That included a brace in the Magpies’ 2-0 win over Chelsea - their last win.
Cisse remains a clinical finisher and a popular player with the Toon Army.
