Is it allowed to play a team full of kids? I'd be well pissed off if I'd bought a ticket for tonight's game and had flown in from another country or drove up the m6 to find we weren't playing a senior team.

Hopefully just hopefully Ledson will have a stormer and get the place buzzing again and for the remainder of the season, god knows we need some positive things going on.

Atsu off with a Hamstring injury.
Are we getting a lot of these lately?

Not a classic but some positives taken...
Barry looked very comfortable at Centre Back
Ledson looked composed, protected the back 4 very well, wanted the ball and played it simple with his quick offload.
Garbutt looked quality, corners and set pieces were immense
Kone is ready...at last!! Played really well good fitness considering the amount of time he's been out.
Negatives...
Robles crazy goal to concede
Browning not a Full back...needs to play as a Centre Back
Pienaar is finished for me, sell him in January for 2 mill
McAleny had to play out of position due to Atsu's injury, definitely not a winger
Atsu would say that's his last game for us, can see Chelsea recalling him as he's injured
All in all valuable game time and experience for the youngsters
Facts...
out of the 11 academy graduates involved, 10 are English and one is Welsh. Eight were born on Merseyside
8 of Everton's 11 homegrown players tonight born in area. Breakdown of 7: Huyton (3), Whiston (1), Kirkdale (1), Netherton (1), Ormskirk (1)
