What a poor effort that was. I thought when we scored it was going to be a good day for us but what followed was a mix of half arsed performances not exactly helped by what I consider to be bad goalkeeping from Tim Howard. It's time he stopped more shots, but let's face it, the fact they are allowed to shoot doesn't help. I don't think we are strong enough in midfield to be playing both Eto'o and Lukaku, and I thought Eto'o was utter crap again today and not for the first time. If we are going to do anything this season we have to start strengthening in the middle of the park. Spurs were much better than us today. Were we that bad? It wasn't our best game I'll admit but we have to give credit to Spurs for the way they came back at us, as once we scored we were the worst team for the remainder of the game. Eto'o needs to be an impact player. If Martinez starts him again for a while I'll be surprised as he is a bit of a luxury that offers little for 90% of his time on the pitch. Howard should have done better, but not going to blame him for the result. I agree with midfield needing sorting out. I don't know what Martinez sees but I see a weak midfield.

Eto'o is -simply- NOT A STRIKER ANYMORE. Played 'in the hole' or even in midfield he might justify his wages but up front? No. What's the betting January sees you shelling out on another striker?

We've played all the top sides now other than the bluemancs next week and not managed to come away with a win. Every time we get given a test we come up short. Why the ***** is Pienaar on the bench? If Martinez thinks any of the midfielders he played on Sunday are better than Pienaar he's having a laugh, Barkley included. Not happy with Tim Howard yet again and starting to think he shuts his eyes when saving a shot.
