It is our intention at Love Everton to provide all our members, and indeed guests, with a positive and pleasant environment in which to discuss Everton, and other teams or subjects that may be of interest.
In order to achieve this goal, we need all members to respect both each other, and the reputation and future of the forum, and though we are aware that nobody is perfect, and everybody makes mistakes, we will encourage all who visit Love Everton to adhere to the rules as set out below.
EVERTON POLITICS Love Everton and it's subsidiaries have no interest in politics, and are completely neutral where Everton politics and indeed general politics are concerned. Our forums and social media sites are not to be used as a platform for extreme political views, nor are they a recruitment opportunity for political groups.
Members may discuss matters of Everton politics respectfully, and maturely, like any other discussion. Avoid extreme opinion and be responsible when sharing your views, and polite when challenging another's views.
We are determined to offer all members a friendly environment in which to discuss and debate topics of interest, and connect with other like minded fans, without fear of personal attack or similar.
POST OPINIONS NOT FACTS Always respect other Forum member's opinions even if they clash with your own. Try and win them over to your side if you wish, but in a friendly way! Give others room to have differing opinions. Don't state your opinion as FACT.
NO PERSONAL ATTACKS: When someone says something you don't agree with don't turn on them and attack them personally. Don't call people names. Don't resort to school yard bullying tactics. If you find yourself posting about some other poster and what they've done to offend you... that's the first sign that you are going off base and attacking people personally.
Personal attacks include attacking people in the public eye or just in general. This website is not a platform for attacking 'anybody', be it the Everton Chairman, or your least favourite politician. If you attack 'anybody' on this forum you are in breach of forum rules and will be warned accordingly.
USE THE CORRECT FORUMS We at Love Everton all like to see new posts and threads, and it would be appreciated if you could make an effort to consider which forum board is the best place to start a new thread.
ALTERING QUOTED COMMENTS Editing someone's words to alter the content of their quote is not permitted. Editing a quote to single out one phrase or sentence or to shorten the quote is permitted. But when you quote another member's post leave the original post author's words INTACT for the part that you quote. SEXUAL CONTENT We ask that all members refrain from posting links, images, or anything that would be considered inappropriate or pornographic on our boards. We understand that this forum may well be male orientated, but common sense is key. If you are not sure, DO NOT post it. Under no circumstances will posting, or linking to anything of a XXX nature be tolerated.
SWEARING This is a site dedicated to offering a user friendly experience for all members, and we ask that members show consideration to each other by keeping swearing to a minimum. In particular, we ask that you refrain from using swear words in Thread Titles and Usernames especially. It's not cool, and can be uncomfortable for other members, not to mention creating a negative impression for the site. Certain words may be filtered out. If that is a problem for anybody, please feel free to **** off.
FIGHTING or ARGUING It's nice to be nice. Bullying, victimization, name calling or constant aggression will not be tolerated. If you can't agree, move on to the next discussion. RACISM Forums often enjoy members from all over the world, so please refrain from referring to anybody by race, colour, or nationality. We all know what a racist comment is. Anybody found to be racially abusive, be it in direct communication on the forum, or in reference to somebody off it, will be banned without appeal.
MOD ACTIONS The Moderators here are volunteers that serve to make the site better by keeping things under control. It's a lousy thankless job. Many times they take abuse from those that they contact. They are not perfect but they are acting in the best interest of the website and it's members 100% of the time.
If you have a question about a Mod action or another member that was banned, please do not start a thread questioning Mod actions or bannings as this thread / post will be removed. Instead, PM or Email the Mod directly.
PM's All site rules also apply to pm's. If you receive a private mail that you are unhappy with, report it, and it will be investigated. Private mails are not to be quoted or posted in public forums. Misuse of the pm system, for mass mailing, spamming, or any purpose other than it's basic intended function will result in suspension of account, and a possible ban.
POLITICS or RELIGION Please be sensible regarding what you post. It is generally advisable to avoid these subjects, and any such discussions will be keenly monitored. Under no circumstances is it acceptable to use profanities regarding 'any' religion. Avoid Blasphemy at all times. You may not be religious, but many others are, so please be sensible.
RIVAL / AWAY FANS Although this website is particularly Everton related, we strongly encourage all fans from every location, regardless of which team they support, to participate in discussion, and though banter is expected, we consider all members to be of equal standing in our community, regardless of post count, team support, or nationality, and therefore insist all members are offered courtesy and respect.
*Hillsborough / Munich air disaster etc are very sensitive topics, and therefore we ask members to remain respectful during any discussion.
USERNAMES Do Not use the names of anybody related to Everton Football Club, unless of course you are that person (Admin will check). For example, it is ok to have a username called 'Tim Howard's Beard', but it is not ok to use the name 'Tim Howard'. In all cases, usernames will remain respectful and free from swear words.
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS Multiple accounts by the same user are not allowed, and may be deleted at our discretion. Username changes will be allowed providing notification is served to the administrators, and permission obtained.
It is fine for a household / ip address to have a second account etc ( son / dad and so on) but be sensible and alert the admin team to avoid problems.
COMMERCIAL POSTERS It is not ok to post commercial advertisements, phone numbers or links on these forums without the express permission of the admin.
This includes members who use their Profile pages, signatures, or usernames to advertise their business or that of any third party. Do not post links on the forum that advertise other discussion forums. Any link posted on here may be removed at our discretion.
Privacy We will never purposefully share any members personal details.
The rules may be updated or revised at our discretion, but they all lean towards common sense and respect for each other. We hope you will enjoy your time here, post as much, or as little as you like, and return as often as possible.
The Love Everton staff.
