Lille have a large pitch, play competent possession football and create a lot of space to play into by sitting quite deep. Current form not great, 8th in league and coming off the back of a 1-2 home loss to Guingamp. I think you can look forward to a draw at the least......they're not scoring many goals in the league, top scorer is Origi with 3, but they did put 3 past Ghent. Is that the guy who signed for Liverpool? I can't understand why that is allowed. You buy a player you should take the player.

Yes, he cost them the equivalent to 12m Euros and was loaned straight back for the season. A bit like the Zaha transfer to Manure where we got his service for a few months.

It's wrong. These clubs are buying players cheaply at a young age simply to prevent other clubs buying them, and if it doesn't work out, the rise in transfer fees still proves a winner. Clubs shouldn't be able to speculate and invest like that, as it defies the fair play of the game.

But I agree, it turns a sport into a Futures Market and makes financial clout the be-all and end-all. But I think any real overlap between Professional Football and Fair Play ceased as long ago as the Revie era. When it does show it's face it's rarely other than a spontaeneous(?) gesture from a player or coach.

Since then money has taken over the game and the game is no longer as it was. Probably off topic lol, but seeing as most members only post when I'm posting ( ) and I'm right in the middle of fixing the forum, then what the hell lol.
