They bombed our chippies. They also bombed Goodison Park during the war. Gwladys St took a proper going over, and you could still see the shrapnel marks at one time according to a new article I've been working on for each club. I take it that's Goodison Park in the picture? Liverpool took a big hit in the war. I remember my nan telling me about the noise of the whistle when the bombs were coming down. :|
