The life of Bill Kenwright, Everton’s longest-serving chairman for a century, will be celebrated in a Memorial Service at Liverpool Cathedral on Monday 18 December, starting at 2pm. The man who lived, breathed and dreamed Everton Football Club, since he stood on the Goodison Park terraces himself as a boy, would have wanted as many football supporters as possible to be present.

A memorial service in honour of late Everton Chairman, Bill Kenwright CBE, is set to be held on Monday (18 December).
Hundreds are expected to be in attendance at Liverpool Cathedral to celebrate the life of the Club's longest-serving chairman for more than a century, including the Blues’ Men’s Senior team, staff, supporters and a host of former players and colleagues.
The service is a closed event due to the venue's logistical constraints, however a full video of proceedings will be available on evertonfc.com later in the day.
Lifelong Evertonian Mr Kenwright passed away on Monday 23 October, aged 78, after a long battle with illness.

Coleen Rooney, boxer Tony Bellew and Kate McCann, the mother of missing Madeleine McCann, were among the noted Liverpudlians at a memorial service for Everton chairman Bill Kenwright.
The theatre impresario died at the age of 78 in October after a long battle with illness.
He was the chairman of Everton Football Club for nearly two decades, from 2004 until his death.
Rooney, the wife of football star Wayne Rooney, was seen entering the service at Liverpool cathedral dressed in black. Boxing star Bellew, who came second in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here earlier this month, arrived with former Everton player Tony Hibbert.
McCann was pictured entering the service at Liverpool cathedral on Monday, wearing an Everton scarf.
Kenwright was among a number of wealthy backers who donated money to support the McCanns in the immediate aftermath of their daughter’s disappearance.
Madeleine, then aged three, disappeared from a holiday apartment in Portugal in 2007 while on holiday with her parents and two younger siblings.
On the family’s website about her disappearance, the youngster is described as an Everton fan “like her mum and grandad”, and is pictured wearing an Everton shirt in one of the photos released by the family after she vanished. Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham was also in attendance at the service, as well as former Everton manager Frank Lampard and a number of players.
Mr Burnham was among those offering tributes to Kenwright after his death, praising him for his reaction to the Hillsborough disaster, where dozens were killed due to a crush at a match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield on April 15 1989. He said: “I saw the care he had for the Hillsborough families when they were going through everything that they went through.
“That was Bill Kenwright.
“Before people think about anything else, that was him, that was the man, just somebody of warmth, of generosity.” Kenwright produced more than 500 West End, Broadway, UK touring and international theatre productions, films and music albums over the course of his career.
He worked with Sir Tim Rice and Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber on Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita and produced the hit West End show Blood Brothers.

A host of footballing greats were among those who paid their respects to former Everton chairman Bill Kenwright on Monday at a memorial service at Liverpool Cathedral.
Kenwright died in October at the age of 78, having spent 19 years in his role at Goodison Park. Actress Jenny Seagrove, Kenwright’s partner of 30 years, led those celebrating the former West End theatre impresario, who also acted in Coronation Street.
Everton boss Sean Dyche led representatives from the club, including England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, captain Seamus Coleman and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while former player Tim Cahill and ex-manager Frank Lampard were also in attendance.
So too was Sir Kenny Dalglish, the Liverpool legend, fellow Reds greats Ian Rush and John Aldridge, former boxer Tony Bellew, Coleen Rooney and Madeleine McCann’s mother, Kate, who is an Everton fan. Hillsborough campaigner Margaret Aspinall also joined the mourners.
Kenwright's death in October drew a host of tributes from the sporting and theatre world, with acting legend Sir Ian McKellan tweeting: "The city that gave us The Beatles and two major football teams, also bred a unique impresario. Whether the West End lights will be turned off in his memory, certainly our business will be dimmer now he has gone."
Everton FC said: "The club has lost a chairman, a leader, a friend, and an inspiration. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Everton are with his partner Jenny Seagrove, his daughter Lucy Kenwright, grandchildren and everybody who knew and loved him."
