Frank Lampard has revealed Abdoulaye Doucoure is available again for Saturday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur, with Anthony Gordon suspended after picking up five yellow cards this season.
The Blues boss also confirmed Mason Holgate has returned to full training following a knee injury but is not yet ready for selection, while Yerry Mina will not feature after feeling discomfort in his calf muscle during training this week.
Meanwhile, striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin - who came on as a second-half substitute against Manchester United on Sunday - is set to be part of the matchday squad, with Lampard revealing the England international is being phased back to full match fitness.
Nathan Patterson (ankle) and Ben Godfrey (fractured fibula) are back out doing individual rehabilitation work. Lampard hopes the Scotland right-back is available in two to three weeks, with Godfrey expected to be fit again after the World Cup break.
Doucoure missed the narrow 2-1 loss to United at Goodison due to a family matter but is back with the squad for Saturday's clash in north London (5.30pm BST).
Gordon will not play, however, after the Academy graduate picked up a fifth booking of the campaign on Sunday.
Lampard said: "Doucs had a family issue [last week] but is back in the squad for Saturday. Mason's training really well but not ready to be in the squad yet and Yerry had a little bit of a setback with a small calf injury this week so won't be available.
"We hope Patterson will be fit in two to three weeks. Ben's a bit further behind - it's his first few days out on the grass - so we're probably looking at the other side of the World Cup break."
On Calvert-Lewin, Lampard added: "It's great to have Dominic back. We're in a process with him in that he's not taking part in every training session for the process of getting him fully match fit, robust and staying fit so we'll just have to see over the next few days and weeks how quickly we can get him to that optimum level."

Our midfield will have to be tighter. Can see 3 cb's being played now Holgate and Keane are available. Gordon suspended so McNeil or Davies to come in? That was a poor midfield against United, that caused us lots of problems. Can DCL and Maupay play together??

I thought we'd turned a corner until I watched the Man U game and it was a bad display all round so I'm expecting it to get worse tomorrow.
