Everton defender Ryan Astley has completed a loan move to Accrington Stanley and will spend 2022/23 with the League One club. The Wales youth international, who primarily operates as a centre-half but is also comfortable at full-back, captained the Blues’ Under-23s side last season. He will now continue his development under John Coleman with the Lancashire outfit. Astley made his debut for Everton's Under-23s in March 2018 at just 16-years-old and claimed the Club's Under-23 Player of the Season honour in 2021/22, as well as being named in the First-Team matchday squad for a Premier League victory over Southampton. The 20-year-old, who is contracted to Goodison Park until the summer of 2023, joins an Accrington side that finished 12th in the third tier last term. Everton FC

Dundee have announced the signing of defender Ryan Astley from Everton for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year deal.
The 22-year-old never made a first-team appearance for Everton after coming through their academy, but impressed last season on loan with Accrington Stanley in League One.
“I am delighted that we have been able to bring Ryan to Dundee," manager Tony Docherty said.
"Ryan is one that we have done extensive scouting on and we feel that he will fit in very well here.
"He’s an old-school defender who enjoys defending and we think he can enhance the squad that we have here.”
