Nike have revealed a new version of the Premier League official match ball ahead of the 2022/2023 season to coincide with the release of the fixtures for the new campaign. The Premier League have used Nike to design their official match balls since the 2000/2001 season. However, ahead of the new campaign Nike appear to have been influenced by the Mitre ball that was the official one used for the Premier League when it came into being for the 1992/93 season. The choice for this design is because it is a trademark year for the Premier League as it reaches 30. The ball uses the same graphic and colourway used back in 1992, merged with modern-day technology from the Nike Flight football range. Nike Aerowsculpt technology with moulded grooves on the ball's outer skin means it will produce a truer and more consistent flight. The ball design features gold X graphics with navy and crimson red detailing outlines to make it pop from the white ball. Signature Premier League graphics wrap up the whole look in this return to the style of an old-school ball design. The upper boasts a large Nike swoosh alongside the Premier League logo and the text "Nike AerowSculpt". The other side features a massive NIKE print. Tech-wise, the new Premier League 22-23 ball is the same as recent Premier League footballs. All are based on the Nike Flight.
