Allan appeal rejected
Allan’s three-match suspension has been upheld after an independent regulatory commission rejected two appeals from Everton over the midfielder’s dismissal against Newcastle United on Thursday.
Allan was initially booked for an 83rd-minute challenge on Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin during Everton’s 1-0 victory at Goodison Park but, following a VAR check, the Brazilian was given a red card for serious foul play.
Everton’s request to overturn that decision was rejected on Friday by the commission, as was a second appeal to downgrade the ban for excessive punishment.
The decision means Allan will miss Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final tie at Crystal Palace and next month’s Premier League trips to West Ham United and Burnley.

Not pretty , but a gutsy workmanlike performance. I will take that any day of the week - Keane was immense and Gordan ran his socks off. Allan played well until his deserved sending off imo. But he is soooooo slow. Doucoure and Gray were out of sorts. Richie was good and bad as usual Iwobi tried but credit to him took his goal very well. The rest contributed effectively. All round good team performance. Now lets build on this. I was in hospital with family yesterday so saw a bit of the game on my phone, but the buffering was pretty bad. I even missed the goal. One minute it's 0-0 and the next I saw we were 1-0 up, but it was all in Japanese so had no idea who scored. Did we look any better than recent games, or were we still struggling a bit?

Loads of passion , hard work but very little quality. Any side better than Newcastle would have ripped us apart. The result covered the cracks and I am still not certain we have enough. But a win is a win,

But a win is a win, I heard a guy tied himself to the goalpost, and a fan gave a knife to the steward to cut him free, then the steward gave the knife back to the fan. What's somebody doing carrying a knife to a game, and wtf is the steward doing giving it back to him?
