Everton Women finished their pre-season campaign unbeaten after rounding off their Scotland training camp with a 2-0 win over Hibernian.
The Club’s three Swedish signings made their first starts for the Blues, with Anna Anvegård getting off the mark with her maiden goal in an Everton shirt along with fellow new recruit Kenza Dali.
It gives the Blues plenty of confidence going into next Saturday's WSL opener when they host Manchester City at Goodison Park (1.30pm BST).
Claire Emslie played the ball in from the corner flag along the right and found Megan Finnigan at the far post.
The centre-half rose to meet the ball and headed towards goal, but Hibs goalkeeper Emily Mutch did enough to take it over the crossbar.
However, six minutes later the Blues had their opener.
Hanna Bennison did brilliantly to ease pressure and slip Grace Clinton through along the right side.
The English midfielder selflessly played the ball across goal into the path of Anvegård who tapped home the first of the afternoon.
Everton continued with their high press on the Hibernian backline and were rewarded with a second goal of the half.
Dali intercepted a back pass before slotting the ball deep into the bottom left corner past Mutch.
For the remainder of the afternoon the Edinburgh side sat deep in their half as they attempted to limit Willie Kirk’s side’s chances.
Rikke Sevecke had two chances in the second half to add a third but was denied by substitute goalkeeper Gabby English.
The American goalkeeper made impressive saves to keep the Dane out from close range.
With the team’s last pre-season fixture wrapped up, they will return to Liverpool and begin preparations for their league opener against Manchester City next weekend.
It’s set to be an incredible atmosphere at Goodison Park and it certainly will be a game that you won’t want to miss.
