One aspect of our club's bright short-to-medium-term future that I'd like to throw into greater focus, in this FFP brick wall is the forward progress our Womens team has been doing over recent seasons. Willie Kirk is clearly being backed to quite literally 'go for it' in terms of pushing our Womens team to as high levels as the club as a whole possibly can - BEFORE the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United can really get a full grasp into those three Champions' League places Man City, Chelski and (for some time now) Arsenal, have cemented themselves into. A strong Womens game at Everton, coupled with forward progress with the Mens first XI really will elevate the club's standing in UK, European and global perception. In TV exposure, before what will follow in sponsorship revenue and other endorsements for the club that we've enjoyed way-too-less of over the past three decades. Yes, the likes of Tim Cahill and Hayley Raso really have helped make great steps forward. This needs to be the norm - not the occasional exception. In mentioning Spurs & United's Womens teams, there's one that could be doing far better right now..!?! Our Women's team looks really good. We could buy the whole women's team for the price of one male player though, and that's the problem with men's football at the moment. Clubs were given money, and all they did with it was put the price of players up. It shows there's little restraint or common sense at board level within the game.
