Everton loan star Nathan Broadhead feels he has settled in well at Sunderland and explained that he is patiently waiting for his opportunity to shine for the side. League One outfit Sunderland acquired the services of 23-year-old striker Broadhead on loan until the end of the season from Premier League club Everton in the summer.
The Wales Under-21 international has started two EFL Cup matches for the Black Cats, but has been restricted to just 55 minutes of playing time in the league. Broadhead, who scored in Sunderland’s 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, feels his goalscoring performance will stand him in good stead to stake his claim in the team.
The Everton loan star pointed out that everyone in the team is playing well and stressed the need for him to continue doing his best and patiently wait for his opportunity.

Nathan Broadhead has received his first senior call-up for Wales just 48 hours ahead of Sunderland's League One play-off final outing at Wembley. The on-loan Everton striker has been included in boss Rob Page's 27-man squad for their busy June programme, which will see Wales play five matches in 14 days.
Broadhead has represented Wales at U17, U19, U20, and U21 levels, but could now earn his first senior cap in a month which starts with a UEFA Nations League game against Poland in Wroclaw on Wednesday, June 1. They then take part in a World Cup qualifying play-off final against either Scotland or Ukraine at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, June 5, as Page's men look to reach the World Cup finals for the first time since 1958.

Sunderland are set to open talks with Everton over a new deal for Nathan Broadhead ahead of their return to the Championship, director of football Kristjaan Speakman has revealed.
Speaking to the Sunderland Echo, Speakman confirmed that Sunderland were set to open talks with the Toffees over a fresh deal for the forward.
He said: “We will have a conversation with Everton this week, to see where they are at with it and where we are at with it, and see if that’s aligned.
“We have to respect the fact that he is an Everton player.
“We have seen him as our player for the year because we had to get the best out of him but now that the season is finished he, unfortunately, goes back to being an Everton player.
