Despite links to Rafael Benitez, Roberto Martinez is still in the running to become Everton’s next manager according to a new report from ESPN. Benitez has been the hot candidate in recent days, and many expect him to land the job following Carlo Ancelotti’s exit. The Mirror claim that Benitez has now held three rounds of talks with Everton and is close to being appointed as Toffees manager. A bit of a ‘hopeless wish’ maybe, but would give anything for a managerial team of: manager: Christophe Galtier assistant: Duncan Ferguson (with Dunc hopefully learning any last bits, before taking over the role) Would Ferguson do a worse job than any of the others?
