KEY FACTS AND MILESTONES
Sunday’s game will be the 11th time Everton have faced Spurs on the opening day of the season, more than any other team.
Everton are unbeaten on a campaign curtain-raiser over the past eight seasons.
Andre Gomes is in line to make his 50th senior appearance for Everton.
ONE TO WATCH: Lucas Moura
Brazilian forward Moura provides a key attacking threat for Spurs, possessing impressive speed, skill and composure in front of goal.
In 107 Tottenham appearances since joining the club from Paris St Germain in 2018, he has scored 23 times and made 11 assists.
Moura’s versatility is a further valuable asset for Spurs. While predominantly deployed on the right wing, he has also performed with distinction as a central attacking midfielder and as a striker.
A full Brazil international, Moura has won 35 caps for his country and scored four goals.

Everton’s high-profile trio of new acquisitions will all make their first starts for the Club in Sunday’s opening Premier League fixture at Tottenham Hotspur.
James Rodriguez, signed from Real Madrid on Monday, appears poised for a role on the right of an Everton front three in north London, the Colombian starting a competitive match for the first time since 21 June.
Brazilian Allan, who completed his transfer from Napoli seven days ago, and former Watford man Abdoulaye Doucoure play in a midfield which also includes Andre Gomes, featuring in his 50th game for the Club.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is Everton’s centre-forward, with Richarlison the final member of the Blues’ attacking triad.
Jordan Pickford, fresh from recording successive clean sheets for England, plays his 115th Everton Premier League game on the spin.
Yerry Mina has overcome the muscle problem which prematurely ended his 2019/20 campaign to start next to Michael Keane at centre-back.
Captain Seamus Coleman will play on the right of defence and Lucas Digne occupies the left-back spot.
Bernard, Moise Kean, Theo Walcott and Gylfi Sigurdsson are all named among Everton’s substitutes.
Additionally, there are places on the bench for goalkeeper Joao Virginia, Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny, in a Premier League matchday squad again after one year away with Schalke 04 in Germany.
