TEAM NEWS Tottenham's Giovani Lo Celso and Japhet Tanganga may miss out on Sunday due to unspecified injuries.
Full-back Danny Rose is unlikely to be considered as he nears a move away from the club.
Everton's Mason Holgate is absent with a toe injury but Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes have overcome minor fitness concerns.
New signings Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez are all available to make their debuts.
MATCH FACTS Head-to-head
Tottenham have won 27 Premier League matches versus Everton, more than against any other opponent. The Toffees have won just three of their 28 away Premier League matches against Spurs, with all three victories coming in consecutive seasons between 2006-07 and 2008-09. Tottenham are unbeaten in 15 Premier League meetings. They have only had one longer top-flight unbeaten streak: 22 games against Aston Villa between 1950 and 1962. This is the 11th time Spurs and Everton have met on the opening weekend of a top-flight season - three more than any other fixture in top-flight history. Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham have only previously been at home for their opening Premier League game of the season in seven years out of 28. Their only defeat in those matches came against Manchester United in 1997-98. Spurs have won on the opening weekend in three successive seasons - they haven't done so in four consecutive league campaigns since 1964-65 to 1967-68. Jose Mourinho has won 11 league matches against Everton, the joint highest total of his managerial career along with West Ham. Mourinho has taken charge of more games on the opening weekend of a Premier League season without losing than any other manager, winning nine and drawing one of his 10 games. Everton
Everton are winless in 40 Premier League away fixtures against established top-six opposition since a 1-0 victory at Manchester United in December 2013. They are unbeaten in their opening league match over the past eight seasons since a 1-0 home defeat against Queens Park Rangers in 2011. Everton have had a player sent off in their first game in each of the last two seasons - no side has ever received a red card in three consecutive opening matches of a Premier League season. Carlo Ancelotti has been on the losing side just once in 21 league matches as a manager on the opening weekend of a season, a 2-1 defeat against Bologna at AC Milan in the 2008-09 season.

Fitness update on new Everton signings
Carlo Ancelotti is weighing up whether to start Everton’s trio of new arrivals against Spurs on Sunday, with James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure all fit and available to feature in north London.
Manager Ancelotti, who insisted Everton have acquired a “complete midfielder” in Frenchman Doucoure, identified the three players as his priority targets ahead of the forthcoming Premier League campaign.
Allan’s capture last Saturday triggered a frantic four days which saw star forward James and Doucoure follow the Brazilian into Goodison Park.
Former Napoli midfielder Allan, capped nine times by his country, Colombian James, signed from Real Madrid, and Doucoure are all vying for spots in Ancelotti’s Everton team when the Italian begins his first full season in charge at Spurs this weekend.
“They are all in good condition and I am happy they have no problems,” Ancelotti told evertonfc.com.
“They have trained all week and are ready to play.
“I don’t know if they are able to play 90 minutes – or if they are going to start – but they are available.
“Allan and Doucoure were training at their clubs before coming here, so were already in good shape physically.
“James started to fully train this week but he is fit.”
Doucoure completed his transfer from Watford on Tuesday, signing a three-year deal with a Club option for a fourth season.
Ancelotti insists the 27-year-old will add mobility and stamina and “character” to Everton’s midfield, mirroring the words of the player who has declared his intention to bring energy and goals to Goodison.
Doucoure played 129 Premier League games and scored 17 goals in four seasons with Watford.
He has top-flight experience in France and Spain with Rennes and Granada respectively.
“Abdoulaye is a fantastic midfielder, a complete midfielder” said Ancelotti.
“He can defend well. He is a box-to-box midfielder.
“He can bring energy to the Club and a different quality.
“We don’t have midfielders with his kinds of characteristics.
“We have midfielders with quality and midfielders who are tactically good.
“Doucoure is the only one who is box-to-box.
“I know him really well, what he did with Watford.
“He is a player with strong character and he uses that in games.
“These are the reasons he is a good signing for us.
“He is going to improve the quality of our squad.”
Ancelotti began his managerial career 25 years ago, leading Reggiana to promotion from Serie B following a storied playing career and time as assistant to Italian national team boss Arrigo Sacchi.
The 61-year-old, twice a European Cup winner as a midfielder in AC Mlian’s superlative team of the late Eighties and early Nineties, has had a staggering amount of success in the intervening years with clubs including Milan, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
But Ancelotti, whose team host West Bromwich Albion in their first home Premier League fixture next Saturday, insists his emotions on the eve of a new season are no different from those he’s experienced since starting with Reggiana in 1995.
“What I enjoy most about this time is it is only two days until we start important games,” said Ancelotti.
“They will be difficult games but we will be ready to fight.
“My feelings [before a new season] are always the same.
“The matches are coming, your stress grows and your emotions grow.
“It is always the same."
Ancelotti added: “What our supporters want, first of all, is for the team to fight until the last minute in every game.
“Second, they want to be competitive.
“I think, and hope, and we are working on this – we can be competitive this season in all the games, for every minute until the last game.”

TEAM NEWS - Match Day
Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes will both be available for Sunday's Premier League opener at Spurs on Sunday.
However, Mason Holgate has been ruled out of the clash with a toe injury while the Club will assess the fitness of Fabian Delph after the midfielder resumed First-Team training.
Holgate suffered his problem during the first half of last weekend's 2-0 pre-season friendly victory over Preston North End at Goodison Park.
Meanwhile, Gomes was forced to return early to Everton from international duty with Portugal after picking up a niggle but the midfielder is set to be included in the Blues' squad for the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
New signings Allan, James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Niels Nkounkou could make their Everton debuts against Tottenham.
Spurs midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is a doubt having not featured in any of the north London side’s pre-season friendlies.
Right-back Matt Doherty and midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg are in line to make their first competitive Tottenham appearances, having joined the club this summer from Wolves and Southampton respectively.
