January arrival Bergwijn has made an eye-catching start to his Tottenham career, hitting three goals in eight Premier League appearances and providing a consistent attacking threat for Jose Mourinho’s team.
A speedy, direct forward, the 22-year-old signed from PSV Eindhoven - where he was brought to the Dutch club by Marcel Brands - having earned a reputation as one of the Eredivisie’s brightest talents.
In 149 outings for PSV, he had a direct hand in 72 goals (31 goals, 41 assists).
The Dutchman made his senior international debut in a 3-0 win over Germany in October 2018 and has remained a regular in Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman’s squads.
