Everton have now finalised a deal to appoint the club’s new head of academy recruitment. Chris Perkins has been brought to Goodison Park from Championship club Derby County where he had the same job role.
The new head of academy recruitment replaces Martin Waldron who left the club set up last year after being suspended during a club investigation into an illegal approach. Perkins has reportedly been in the role since last month and bring an impressive track record of recruiting youth talent with him.
Derby’s under-18s won the Premier League title last season and also earned qualification for the UEFA Youth League which shows the success Perkins had at the club.
The new appointment will report to head of recruitment Gretar Steinsson who, in turn, has director of football Marcel Brands above him.

I think the ban runs out in November?
